Biography

Dedicating his whole life to music, Daniel Oren came out to be one of the most acclaimed conductors in the world. His path began at 13 years old with Leonard Bernstein, who chose him to sing the boy solo part in Chichester Psalms. Winner of the competition H. V. Karajan in 1975, he was on the podium of the Berliner Philharmoniker at only 18, collaborating with Karajan himself and other great conductors like Franco Ferrara. During his unstoppable career he became popular mostly for his stunning interpretations of Veristic repertoire (Verdi, Puccini, Bellini) , so much so that they remained impressed in hearts and minds of thousands of people and fans. He is currently Artistic Director of Verdi Opera House in Salerno (Italy) , Musical Director at the Tbilisi State Opera (Georgia), Senior Conductor at the Israeli Opera.
